Dual (Student and Instructor) - Duals are the backbone of flight training, and include all costs related to the flight: The aircraft, fuel, landing fees, and the instructor with you in the aircraft. Typical training flights are completed within one hour, depending on the lesson.

Solo (Supervised by Instructor) - Solo Flying is crucial in the development of a pilot's skills. Once ready for solo, the learning accelerates. Depending on the permit or license you are working toward, there are minimum solo requirements. The hourly fee includes the aircraft, fuel, landing fees, and supervision by your instructor.

$235 / Hour  in C-GJUF Cessna 172N

Rental

Once you are rated or have become a licensed pilot, you can rent our aircraft for personal flights. This fee includes fuel and landing fees. Rentals of our aircraft also allow time building toward your commercial pilot license.

$250 / Hour  in C-GJUF Cessna 172N

Ground Briefings With Instructor

Ground briefings are an integral part of flight training, and are required for each flight you take. Typical briefing times are often metered in increments per flight (for example, taking a new lesson may require anywhere between 10 and 30 minutes of ground briefing, depending on the lesson to be flown. Briefings actually reduce the overall time to gain your permit or license!

$90 / Hour

Training Costs

TRAINING COSTS OVERVIEW

It is difficult to provide a fixed dollar value to pilot training because each student pilot has unique abilities, schedules, and time commitments. The following estimates can give a good sense of the overall costs of flight training for each of the three levels of pilots: Recreational, Private, and Commercial - Sea Eagle Aviation is happy to sit with you one-on-one to help you get a good sense of where you may fit in the training scheme.

The following are based on the Transport Canada mandated minimum hour requirements, plus at least 20%, as most student pilots do not complete their ratings or licenses at minimums.
